Use of Fasteners in Treated Timber
In New Zealand BRANZ recommends the use of stainless steel or silicon bronz fasteners in ACQ and CuAz treated timbers. This is due to the increased corrosion the treatment chemicals cause in zinc coated and galvanised screws, bolts and nails.
